Perlis and Tree Top Walk

We wanted to go to Langkawi at firts, but the hotel that we wanted was fully booked. So instead, we went to Perlis on the first day- shopping at the duty free shops in Padang Besar (bordering Thailand) and then went to a cave and two lakes.

On the second day, we went to Tree Top Walk.

Yes, not only Western Australia has a Tree Top Walk down in Valley of the Giants, Walpole; Malaysia has one too in Sg. Sedim Recreational Forest in Kulim, Kedah. Apparently, the two use the same technologies- only two in Southern Hemisphere (if I'm not mistaken). *and I've been to both * -grinZ-
The only difference is while the one in WA is the highest (about 40m high I think), the one in M'sia is the longest- about 1km (930m or 960m... I can't remember). Oh, of course, there's also different scene surrounding both Tree Top Walk. They both have different type of forest anyway. And while in WA has Walk of the Ancient Empires (of burnt tingle trees- you'll see the pictures below), we (in M'sia) have scenic river down below and the water was so cool that I felt like jumping into them instantly :p
The left one is Western Australia's Tree Top Walk, while the right is Malaysia's one- for those interested to see the similarities and differences.

-See the different types of trees??-
-At the highest peak of the two TTW-
-If you look down, you can see tree tops in WA and river in M'sia-

-The burnt tingle tree I mentioned is on the left and the cool river is in M'sia-

On the other note, my dad has successfully booked our accomodation in Pulau Redang in less than two weeks time. And then I'll be attending one of my friend's wedding; so we'll be gone for quite some time.

Don't miss me :p

Cancelled, huh?

And so the supposed family vacation to Langkawi had to be cancelled due to the fact that the hotel we tried to book was fully booked. There goes my plan to (finally have a chance) swim next to the fishes again... :( (And my mom's plan to pick up some wedding gifts for my friends too)

Oh well, at least this week my sister's here. So I can have someone to bicker with.

I decided then, my stuff from KL has to be 'shipped back' to SP so that I can finally start on my Perth-scrapbook project. After all, we're not going to Langkawi anymore *shrug*

On the other note, I had a really weird dream last night. And I sort of woke up in early morning and then went back to bed only to have it continued. Come to think about it, it was more of a mild nightmare. Maybe subconsciously my mind is thinking 'the Earth is dying!!' after watching National Geographic's Earth Day programmes yesterday.

Oh, not to forget, to Fhad, Alya and Mar, just to let you guys know that last Saturday's meeting was fun. I'm willing to do it again should there's no plan in my book!! :D Thanks a lot! :)

A/N- I itch to write... but I have no inspiration whatsoever... :(

Voiceless

I lost my voice (and my brother couldn't help himself from smirking everytime I tried to talk to him *Gah! It's frustrating!*)
And then I wondered, should I have been a rock singer, could this voice sell?? :p

So to all my friends who are doing GP rotation (or will be doing) or those who have learned pathology, all the best and enjoy your studies should you come across the process of inflammation that caused me to loose my voice. I just came back from the GP with some meds.

Some symptoms for you guys though- productive cough (clear sputum) with an onset of sore throat (felt like sands in my throat this time rather than itchiness two weeks ago) and some runny nose. No fever, no myalgia. Onset 4 days ago, and actually it's getting better now.
Well, of course, my voice is still gone....

One Step At A Time

It's a lie if you live and never face hurdles. At times you'll feel so down that you feel useless and at lost of what to do next. You can choose either one:
-drown in self pity and think of how well it could be if only...
-or you can choose to look at it from a different angle and move on,

Choose to become a survivor, not a victim.

Some people will ask, "Are you ok?" 'Are you sad?'
Don't answer straight away. Look into your heart and think. Are you really ok? Aren't you sad at all?
It's a lie if there's no hint of sadness. Of course it's a bit upsetting if not much.
But will you wallow in sadness and stay put?
There's no point of being sad, really. For whatever reason? It has happened and there's no use of keep on being sad. You still have to live. There's still tomorrow to look forward to.

La Tahzan...

People say 'berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul'. True. But He knows you can go through this, that's why it happens to you. Different people face different challanges, but it's how you react to it is important.

For now, take one step at a time. There's no point in rushing.
If you don't know who you want to let it all out to, He will always be there to listen.
24/7, not even a fraction of second to be missed.

Wallahualam

-Old Collection-

Tika kita berjanji denganNya
Hakikatnya hati sesuci, seputih sutera
Saat kita lahir ke dunia
Genggaman terlepas, tangis menggegar semua

Tika kita mula melangkah
Hati dicorak mengikut rasa
Tanpa jagaan dan kawalan yang sempurna
Hanyutlah kita

Ingat Allah! Kita teruskan perjalanan
Ikutkan Nafsu! Kita senang dihanyutkan
Berdebat dengan Akal! Kita kan disesatkan
Wahai insan, kembalilah ke pangkal jalan

Tika maghrib menjelang tiba
Yang insaf tida, masih ada
Walau ramai yang terkandas di tengah-tengah
Namun masih ada yang tiada sedar

Insaflah! Di mana janji kita wahai insan?
Tak diketahui jangka masa perjalanan
Tak diketahui apa cara kesudahan
Sedangkan nanti di akhir perjalanan
Kita semua akan bersama dikumpulkan

Bullied

Maka tersebutlah satu ceritera…

A boy was on the journey back to KL from Kerteh via bus (Konsortium, yang warna merah tu, yg ada some busses dua tingkat). It was supposed to reach KL around Subuh time, but the said bus hadn't arrived. Both parents were worried about their son. And even the son didn't know where he was (second time naik bas balik KL sorang-sorang).

Turned out, in Meraga Beris (near Kijal, Terengganu), this boy was ordered to naik bas lain (apekah???) because when he boarded the bus in Kerteh, there was there was this lady (yg tak tau dari mane datang or the fact that she even has a ticket for that particular bus) sat on this boy's place. The sleepy boy who was confused (and amid the mamai-ness) followed the instruction.

Apekah??

At last, the 'extra' bus (which was not even Konsortium) arrived KL at 7.30 a.m. Parents mane yang tak risau anak yang patut tiba pukul 6 sampai 1 ½ hour lambat?

And worse, the boy has a ticket- dah beli awal2, apehal dia yang kena turun?
Just because he’s only a small boy, traveling alone, can be bullied?
Amid the warwar rakyat Malaysia nak tukar mentality ke 1st class mentalilty, masih ade orang yang bersikap macam ni ke??

Alhamdulillah the mother had taken extra bus in the past, so she knew where the bus stops.

Question is, why take extra passengers when you have enough in the bus?
We paid the ticket and that is supposed to include your service.
And why bully a small boy traveling alone? Takut kalau buat dekat adult kena complain? So if this is done to a small kid, the complaint will not get through?

Maybe next time we’ll just take other busses. Senang cerita, kan?

Perumpamaan

It was the last few days in Perth
There were 5 of us in the apartment. Never before the unit seemed so noisy with teases and laughters.
One was cooking and preparing dinner- the 'mom'
2 were teasing and bullying the 'eldest'- the sisters
and one were buying playing with a tabby- 'odd' sister?

And suddenly the 'mom' asked, "Rumah kite ni air cepat habis eh? Semua orang haus, macam unta ke?"

A new perumpamaan? :p

That night, the youngest sister pat the tabby's belly... "Buncit nye... macam elephant!"

Ahh... a new perumpamaan again I guess... Rosak bahasa melayu macam ni...

Waiting for flights going home... in approximately 6 hours.

A month after that

I'm obsessing after Sudoku.
[After I was forced to be introduced with it during PFK's Treasure Hunt to Ipoh (sampai pening2 kepala and nauseous dalam kereta).]

But only when my sis's around.
Since the 'lil book is with her.
Maybe I should find some online.

Decision... decision... Decision was made, only waiting for official procedures and what-not.
Cracking head of the next steps.. and how to break it.

Former poem stands
If you can understand it.

Oh! Found the website I've been searching for.
Ingatkan hilang terus :p

Guess I'm speaking in puzzles and riddles this time around huh?
I'm still sane, don't worry.
Only I have more on my plate lately.. And a bit nervous/anxious of what to come.

Clue for you: There are 3 different issues I'm talking above. Figure yourself. That's all I'm gonna say. Wassalam

A month after

High and low High and Low
One moment I'm there, next I'm here
Every breath, every move, every little thing,
It was all written
When I'm no longer there
Just hope my apologies accepted
Thank you... my friends
Ukhuwah fillah... abadan abada.
