“...whosoever follows My guidance, on them shall be no
fear, nor shall they grieve...” (2:38)
This is the ayah that a sister of mine whom I have high
respect for based on when she said to me “there is no sadness in Islam, Wani, la
tahzan”. It was years and years back. I can’t remember exactly what occasion it
was but that particular sentence stuck in my head since then.
Especially when feeling troubled.
So there are times when we get upset over things, big or small. Perhaps it helps if we try to remember this ayah...
