It's nice to...

It's nice to be able to pray tarawikh at the musalla. It's amusing to know that the imam is your classmate and that he finishes one juzu' one night. It's very peaceful and calming to hear sacred words of Allah recited every night.

It's nice to meet up with the people from other countries, with people from the main campus during iftar. It's an amazing experience to sit around together, each from different background and culture, yet we share one thing in common, and this thing leads to so many different things that we actually share in common- Islam. It's a learning experience to hear their opinions and knowledge, that most of the time I was on the listening end only.

It's refreshing to get involved in co-curricular activities such as Multicultural Week and ISS. It's nice to get to know other people and re-strengthen your friendship with some others. Islam has never stop you from acquainting other people from other religions, just so long you know where you are and where they are.

It's nice to have someone to chat with after subuh, sharing experience, changing opinions, asking questions and getting answers. It's nice to know that someone else is also on the same learning path as you are, and is willing to learn more, and you hope that that fact will never change.

It's nice to know, and a relief to know that you are still breathing as of this moment. At least you still have chance to do more deeds and ask for forgiveness for your sins and make amends of your mistakes and increase your knowledge and imaan.

Alhamdulillah.
